Note: The New York State Laws of 2004, Chapter 575, Mental Hygiene Law 16.33 and Executive Law 845-b, govern this application process by mandating pre-hire criminal background checks (fingerprinting) and PPD (Tuberculosis Skin Test) for all employees, volunteers, consultants, etc. who will have regular contact with our consumers. Also, depending on the position, a candidate will be required to submit to a Driving Record Authorization. Additionally, if employment would involve working with children under the age of 18, the application will be submitted to the New York Statewide Center Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment for review.
